Pleasure Island has an even wider range of events this year! The Cleethorpes Blues Festival and Cleethorpes Rocks concerts are being held in McCormack's bar once again. Also the Cleethorpes Carnival Party Night is back on in July. Then to finish off the 2013 season is the return of the fantastic fireworks weekend! But this year Pleasure Island also celebrates it's 20th birthday on May 27th and on this special occasion the celebrations are going to be huge, with late night opening, fireworks, personal appearances from Peppa Pig and much more... Plus there will be many music related events in McCormack's bar this year, including popular tribute bands.

27th May - Pleasure Island Family Theme Park 20th BirthdayOn May 27th Pleasure Island will celebrate it's 20th anniversary! Yes it will have been 20 years since the park first opened it's gates to the public on May 27th 1993 and Pleasure Island plans to celebrate these two decades in style...
Day Time Opening (normal opening hours) To start off the park will open from 10am to 5pm with normal entry prices (discount vouchers are also available). The main attraction will be the chance to meet and greet everyone's favourite Peppa Pig, who will be on the park all day and is more than willing to have photos with everyone. Peppa Pig will also be officially opening the new family fun attraction that is Furry Friend's Farm & Tractor ride! There will also be live music from bands on the park, plus a giant birthday cake, face painting, balloons and much more! Late Night Opening with fireworks! But it's not over yet! The park will then re-open from 7pm for a special late night ride opening with even more fun and celebrations, including more live music from 3 different bands and many more items on the agenda to look forward to! To end this spectacular day at 10pm there will be a fantastic fireworks finale, which will signify the end of this surely unbeatable 20th anniversary party. Cleethorpes Blues FestivalThe Cleethorpes Blues Festival is back at Pleasure Island for it's third year!
With acts including John Lee Hooker Jr, Dr FeelGood, Chantel McGregor and Paul Lamb & The King Snakes. Overall there will be two stages, thirteen acts and around 8 hours of R&B and rock music for everybody to enjoy! Alcohol, soft drinks and hot food will also be available to purchase throughout the night. This event takes place on Saturday, 22nd June from 3pm to 11pm. July Carnival Party NightThe Cleethorpes Carnival Fun continues inside Pleasure Island...
After the Cleethorpes Carnival ends outside Pleasure Island at around 6pm, the park re-opens until 9pm with rides in the dark and extra family activities in McCormack's Family Bar, which will remain open until 11pm. This is a popular event so we recommend booking tickets early and getting to the park early as once the carnival ends, everyone swarms towards Pleasure Island. This event takes place on Saturday, 20th July from 6pm to 9pm. Tickets are £10 per person (4's and under go free). Firework Extravaganza WeekendPleasure Island is hosting the Cleethorpes Fantastic Fireworks once again...
The most popular event on the Pleasure Island calendar and if you go you will see why. The park operates to almost full capacity on both days and the atmosphere is great! With rides in the dark from 2:30pm to 6pm, fantastic fireworks at 6pm and rides then re-open until the park closes at 8pm. Plus special editions of the Sea Lion and Bird Shows are available in the dark, music is played all around the park, glow sticks and tasty food is on sale and possibly there will be fireworks on the lake as this was introduced last year and proved popular. And if you just want to go just to see the fireworks and not to go on the rides, entry will only cost you £3.50 each! For those people who do want to enjoy the thrills and spills of the rides in the dark, wristbands are available for just £7 and £9! This event is extremely popular so we definitely recommend you book your tickets in advance and don't miss the chance to end the Pleasure Island 2013 season on a high!
